It is a long time since I have spent a day inside, but today I didn’t go further than the soda machine in the motel. I had done laundry at Woods Hole, bought my food yesterday, and for dinner I ordered pizza directly to my room.
The charm of being inside wasn’t the reason for my being stuck. I realized I really needed rest. The emotional load of the last few days has been so great that I just wanted to be alone. Without company, without distractions, without anything… anything. I Skyped with my parents of course and tried to update pictures and video to the blog, but that proved to be almost impossible due to the poor internet connection. Tomorrow I will return the AT, and truth be told I kind of miss my tent.

En ole pitkään aikaan viettänyt päivää sisätiloissa, mutta tänään en poistunut minnekään motellin limsa-automaattia kauemmas. Pyykit olin saanut pestyä Woods Holessa, ruuat ostettua eilen ja illallisen tilasin pizzeriasta suoraan huoneeseeni.
Itse sisätiloissa olemisen viehätys ei kuitenkaan ollut syy motelliin jumiutumiselleni. Huomasin vain todella kaipaavani lepoa. Lähipäivien emotionaalinen lasti on ollut sen verran suuri, että halusin vain olla. Ilman seuraa, ilman virikkeitä, ilman mitään…mitään. Skypetin toki vanhempieni kanssa ja yritin päivittää kuvia ja videoita blogiin, mutta se osoittautui heikon netin vuoksi lähes mahdottomaksi. Huomenna palaan taas AT:lle ja totta puhuen kaipaankin jo vähän takaisin telttaani.
